FAQ’S

  • Everyone is different, but generally regular polish lasts around 7 days and gel polish lasts around 2 weeks.

  • No, not if you look after your nails. Make sure you get your gel taken off properly. Don’t peel or pick it off. Don’t leave the gel on for weeks. Use cuticle oil!

  • We always want you to be happy with your nails so if you nails chip within a few days of getting them done we will always try to fit you in and fix them.

  • Please do not worry as our therapists have seen it all before There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about because we are here to take care of you!

  • Unfortunately not. Please ensure the infection is treated fully and has cleared up before coming in for a pedicure.

nail art

  • Head to the Nail Art section on our website or our Instagram Highlights to see examples of the different levels. If you are unsure, we recommend booking Advanced to ensure we have enough time.

  • Yes we can help you choose a design, however we do recommend bringing any images or inspiration with you to get a better idea of what you might want. You can also find lots of designs on our Instagram highlights and on Pinterest.

  • If we have enough time, we will always try and accommodate the design you want. However please bare in mind that if our therapists are busy it may not be possible.

  • The price is based on the complexity and time required for a design. If you unsure which level your design comes just email the team with a picture and they will help you out.

waxing

  • We use both. Our trained therapists will select the best suited wax to an individual area.

  • Generally people leave around 4 - 6 weeks between waxes, but it really depends how fast your hair grows.

  • We recommend that your hair is around 6mm. If your hair is much longer than this please trim it down ahead of your appointment.

  • Yes, however we may require a bit of extra time so just let us know in the booking comments and we will add on a few minutes to ensure you are comfortable.

  • Yes, please let the therapist know and she can adapt the treatment accordingly. Remember you may be a little bit more sensitive to pain during this time of the month.

  • We do provide disposable pants however our trained therapists will advise on what to do with you pants. This is to ensure they can do the best possible job. If you would prefer to leave them on, just ask.

  • Everyone is different and at different times of the month you may be more sensitive to pain. However the more consistent you are with your waxes, the less hair will grow - which always helps!

  • Apply ingrown hair serum (available in store) for 2 days post wax. After 3-5 days you should exfoliate the area at least once a week.

facials

  • we recommend booking a free facial consultation so that our therapist can asses your skin and advise which facial is best suited for you.

  • Our gua sha, express + bespoke facials are all pregnancy safe after the first trimester. You will be required to lie on your back for 45-60 mins (we have cushions / boulsters) so please keep this in mind when booking.

  • We mostly use Medik8 products for our facials, as well as some Guinot products too.

  • Ideally once a month, but if this is not possible we recommend every 8-12 weeks.

  • Yes - absolutely! Our facials are all bespoke and the products we use are tailored to your individual skincare needs.

massage

  • Our therapist will use a range of massage techniques however please note our massages are relaxation focused. Our therapist will carry out a consultation with your prior to the treatment to discuss what areas to focus on and what pressure you would like.

  • Yes - of course. Our massages are bespoke and our therapist will only focus on the areas which you feel comfortable. Always let the therapist know before hand if there is something you are not comfortable with.

  • Yes we do. We offer either 65 or 95 min pregnancy massages that are suitable after the first trimester. You will be lying on your side with plenty of cushions so please dont worry about having to lie on your front or back - we got you!

  • Our therapist will talk you through how to prepare before your massage. You will leave your underwear on and if you would prefer to leave any other items of clothing on - just say! You will be covered by a large blanket throughout, with the therapist only removing this when she is working on different areas.

  • Yes - drink plenty of water after your massage and avoid drinking alcohol or exercise. You may feel a bit sore the next day but this is totally normal, it’s just your muscles reacting to the massage - a warm bath always helps.

general

  • Our gift cards are not currently available to use online - sorry! If you would like to use you gift card to pay for your deposit then please call the team on 0208 691 4313 and someone will be able to assist you.

  • Yes we do - you can see all our treatments for men on our website or on the Fresha booking page.

  • Yes, if you child is happy / old enough to sit in the waiting area whilst you have your treatment that is fine by us. We have a little bit of space for buggys too. We don’t allow children of any age in the treatment rooms or on the brow chair due to health and safety (hot wax!). If your getting a manicure just be mindful you will need both hands free at all times!

  • We are open 3/4 Sundays per month between 10 - 6 for massage treatments only.

  • Yes, we love furry friends - as long as they are well behaved as there will be other people trying to relax and enjoy their treatments in the salon.

  • Yes - when booking on Fresha it will give you the option to select the name of the therapist you would like to book with. If you are booking via email or phone, dont forget to mention it to the reception team.

  • We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or re-scheduling of appointments. If your unable to give us 24 hours notice then unfortunately you will loose your deposit. This policy is in place because we are a small independent business and its very difficult for us to fill appointments at short notice, we hope you understand.

  • Yes you can - our online booking system does not allow you to book two people at exactly the same time so we recommend giving our reception team a call on 0208 691 4313 and they will be able to book you both in at the same time!

  • Yes we do - we often have group bookings for birthdays , weddings, hen parties etc. If you want to book then please send an email to our reception team hello@roseandrive.co.uk with the number of people, the treatments required and some options for date/times you would like.
