our story

Rose + River was created by Lucy, who decided to turn her passion for self care in to an independent business.

Lucy had searched high and low for a salon that could offer her that feel good formula but never quite found what she was looking for. This obvious and often frustrating gap in the market was how the seed of an idea for Rose + River first began.

After loosing both her parents in a short space of time, Lucy decided to take a huge leap of faith and leave behind her career in fashion, and begin the journey of starting her own business.

Her goal was to create a positive, friendly, comfortable space where people could rest and relax, and enjoy taking care of themselves.

Inspired by her Mum’s love of roses and her Dad’s passion for rowing, a sweet but subtle nod to Lucy’s parents can be found in the name, Rose + River.
